You will also receive a 45 minute floatation therapy session, a light lunch and a kombucha tasting session. There will be ample opportunity to relax and chat with the other guests to share your experiences.
Whether you are perimenopausal, menopausal or post-menopausal, this sumptuous day has been designed with you in mind as I encourage you to take time out of your busy schedule to relax and unwind. My aim is that you not only leave rejuvenated but also armed with advice tailored to your unique needs.
Nutrition and lifestyle can have a huge impact on your symptoms. If you live life at a fast pace, slowing down and calming the adrenal system can be immensely powerful in helping you improve your menopausal symptoms including weight gain, hot flushes, migraines, low mood, fatigue, bloating, stress, anxiety and insomnia.
We have exclusive use of the unique and calming environment of Float & Booch. The doors to the rear of the building open fully allowing great ventilation. If the weather allows there is a beautiful suntrap of a courtyard where you can take some time to yourself, whenever you feel the need. Each of the floatation therapy areas are completely self-contained, complete with its own shower facilities, toiletries and fluffy white towels.
Floatation therapy is a powerful tool for wellness, relaxation, pain relief and better sleep. The tanks contain Epsom salts to help you to float, but are also an excellent source of magnesium. Magnesium is recommended to help you relax, help with muscle and joint pain and enable you to get a more restful sleep. We are very lucky to have access to Colchester's only open tanks, which means you don't have to worry about feeling anxious or claustrophic about having the lid down. You can simply lie back and relax, as you float effortlessly on the surface of the warm water. It's the salts which ensure you are pushed to the surface so you float like a cork.
Floatation Therapy has several benefits including: Increased relaxation - Relieves stress & anxiety. Relieves joint pain & inflammation. Supports deeper & more restorative sleep.
The probiotics produced during fermentation can help restore the balance of friendly bacteria in your gut and may alleviate some digestive problems. For these reasons, adding fermented foods to your diet may be useful if you regularly experience gut issues. There is such a wonderful variety of different kombucha available and you will be sampling four on the day, with an opportunity to purchase your favourites to take home.
As part of the mini retreat you will attend an informal and relaxed session with me on how to optimise your diet and lifestyle to best manage your symptoms. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions and ample time for you to discuss your specific concerns with me confidentially if you wish to.
During perimenopause and menopause, we undergoe extreme changes affecting all areas of our body. It can be one of the most trying times in a womans life. Sometimes starting 10 years before menopause itself, this transition includes well known symptoms such as hot flushes, low libido, night sweats, weight gain, mood swings and sleep disturbances. The menopause also increases the risk of certain health conditions.
Diet and lifetstyle play a key role in coping with and managing these symptoms. During the session you will discover how you can tackle these naturally with food and lifestyle changes.
I invite you to join me for the day in a place where you can put yourself first for a change and leave feeling like you have your spark back.
