Workshops, Retreats & Corporate Events
Throughout the year I run Nutrition for Menopause Workshops and am available for talks and presentations. Most recently I have worked with Colchester Borough Homes and was delighted to talk at Pitney Bowes Menopause Cafe. Many organisations are now beginning to understand the importance of these issues on their workforce and are seeking to provide value for money support. If you would like me to run a workshop or event for your company, please contact me for an informal chat.
I hold a variety of Menopause Day Retreats over the course of the year, with days available to suit all budgets. At my retreats you will find time to relax and unwind, nutrition advice, yoga, Pilates and skincare advice. Each retreat is different, so please contact me to discuss which may be best for your needs or to be placed on my waiting list. Alternatively, sign up to my newsletter to be the first to hear about upcoming events.
Can you visit me at home?
Typically my appointments take place at my office in Brightlingsea or online via Zoom. Once restrictions are lifted, I can visit you at home but this will incur an additional cost.
How often will I need to see you?
You can book a one off appointment or block of 3 sessions, this really is up to you and what you want to achieve. However, generally I would recommend a minimum of 3 sessions, 3 weeks apart in order for you to get the full benefit of my advice.
In terms of how long you will need to work with me, this is very much dependent on the individual. Some women may only need one block (3 sessions) and then chose to check in periodically. For others, more in depth support is required and will take more time. There is no set period of time and you are welcome to book as many sessions as you feel you need.
What happens during a consultation?
The initial consultation lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour. Our meeting would generally take place at my Brightlingsea Office but can take place virtually via Zoom (or your other preferred method). We will discuss in detail what you hope to achieve and any health issues you have. I will look at your current diet and lifestyle and address any factors that may be preventing you from achieving your goals. By the end of each session you will have 1 – 3 objectives to work on to help you start to address your concerns.
I recommend a follow up consultation around 3 weeks after our initial meeting. This is so we can review how things are going for you, what’s working, what isn’t and address any areas that you are finding difficult or challenging. In this way I can continue to support and motivate you. My aim is to ensure you have the tools to manage your diet independently and change your habits for the better.
After each session you will receive an email summary with the recommendations you have decided to work on, so you don’t have to worry about scribbling notes down. If you book a course of 3 sessions you will also receive a weekly email from me to check on your progress and answer any questions you may have.
All one-to-one appointments have a 24-hour cancellation policy. The cost of your booking will be non-refundable at this point as others will have missed the opportunity to book with me.
